Cost Savings with Managed Services
A chain of 3 specialty bookstores in the state of WA was hosting their own email and Exchange but couldn’t justify hiring full time IT support. This small business found a perfect opportunity by consulting with Daeta Networks. They are now using Daeta Networks for managed IT support services; saving this small business an estimated $10K per year. Daeta Networks migrated the bookstore to a hosted Exchange solution and Daeta Networks technicians maintain and manage all desktops, laptops, and the Microsoft Dynamics RMS software used to run the bookstore operation.
SQL Server Database Migration
A WA corporation operates a brewery, winery, vineyard, tasting rooms and a restaurant. This client had 3 different locations in Woodinville, Everett and Olympia set up as individual networks. Daeta Networks technology managers migrated the workgroups into one domain and set up an HP ProLiant SQL database server, with APC back up, which now houses the multiple SQL databases that previously exsisted on desktop workstations. Daeta networks also created a multisite VPN with a STAR topology.
Hosted Email, Sharepoint and Desktop Updates
Daeta Networks service techs cleaned and refreshed the laptops used by this preschool’s students, created multiple user accounts, set up security measures, web site filters, content protection and monitoring on each workstation to ensure the safety of the browsing experience for the young children. An entirely new website refresh was planned and implemented to enable simple editing and updating content that is pushed to the parents. This 5 location private pre-school also relies on Daeta Networks to host and maintain their Exhange and Sharepoint cloud based solutions.
Point Of Sale Systems
Daeta Networks consultants designed the initial core infrastructure for a small start up catering company using Nortel phones and NetSuite POS system. After a period of rapid growth and expansion which included opening 12 stores in 2 western states, Daeta Networks was again called in to migrate the operation to an enterprise class InfoGenesys point of sale solution.
Planned Outages – Office Moves
A retail start up made two moves in the course of rapid growth. The Daeta Networks team executed an IT infrastructure move (encompassing 60 desktops, 12 servers and 70 phones) in a 24 hour time frame with zero down time.
Emergency Infrastructure Support Call
A family-owned designer, GSA contract holder, and manufacturing operation was making an office move. They had new phone lines and DSL installed but the telco provider ran the cables to the demarcation point in the building only; leaving 700 feet between the suite and the line entry point. This client was referred to Daeta Networks and placed an after-hours support call for a resolution to their issues that occurred during their office relocation. Daeta Networks ran CAT5 cabling, connected and set up phones and computers at the individual workstations. Daeta Networks also set up Sonicwall wireless access. Daeta Networks resolved all the move related issues and had the client operational the same day.
Malware
The network at this professional law office wasn’t thoroughly protected and it became infested with malware. Daeta Network techs cleaned up the infected network while ensuring that the sensitive client data was retained and protected. A shared storage Carbonite data backup plan was implemented so the confidential client files were securely saved in perpetuity.
Small Business Server Migration
A local non-profit was in the middle of a server upgrade from Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 to 2011, when their resident IT guy decided to quit. They contacted Daeta Networks to help them. It turned out that the IT guy left the project stalled because something had gone wrong and he didn’t possess the qualifications and knowledge necessary to trouble shoot the problem, repair it and finish the migration. Daeta Networks was able to jump in, retrace his steps, troubleshoot the issues, fix what had broken and then successfully complete the migration to the new Sever Platform.
